Ash Wednesday 2024 Some Schedules of Parishes and Chapels

We invite you to Ash Wednesday 2024. Here are some of the masses schedule on February 14, this Wednesday.

Just like before, it is a day of fasting. Those who are 18 years old to 60 are included.  People 14 to 17 years old or beyond 60 are obliged to do abstinence from meat.  Check with your doctor if fasting doesn't go well with you and basically exchange the fasting discipline by performing real acts of charity towards those who really need it.

Stay safe!

These are some of the masses for Ash Wednesday this 2023 so that you can have ash placed.

Since the Covid alert level has relaxed but wearing a mask and social distancing is still prescribed.  I just hope that you take care when we go outside.

Again, it's a day of fasting for those 18 years old to 60.  People 14 to 17 years old or beyond 60 are obliged to do abstinence from meat.  Check with your doctor if fasting doesn't suit well with your body and you can exchange this discipline by performing real acts of charity towards those who really need it.

Stay safe!

2022 Simbang Gabi Schedule Summary on Some Parishes and Chapels

This is the first Christmas after the war in Ukraine and the cost of goods crisis. I do hope even with the glum circumstances you can focus on the Holy Family and how they lived like us yet with hope because of the Christ child. Help someone if you can and receive help if you can, and say mass for yourselves and everyone else.

There's still online and TV masses if you cannot leave your house, but you can also spend time in a church too.

Have a blessed Christmas and share this schedule with your friends and loved ones.

Simbang Gabi 2021: Some Schedules of Parishes and Other Places

It's the second Christmas during the pandemic.  Some of us have been bruised and fatigued by this yet we are still thankful for the opportunity of having the Simbang Gabi and Christmas masses.

The parishes have pretty much the same Covid protocols like capacity limitations on the inside so hopefully we can follow.  One meter or better yet more social distance and do mask up.  If you cannot leave your house, you can still watch it online or on TV.

May all of you have a blessed and healthy Christmas and share this schedule with your friends and loved ones.

Simbang Gabi 2020 Summary of Some Churches and Masses

Despite this harsh year because of the pandemic, I know some have been thankful for the opportunity to say mass and also attending the Simbang Gabi and Christmas masses.

Please follow safety guidelines in your area.  The parishes also strive to follow these guidelines so that we are all safe from harm from the Covid-19 yet our participation is also key.  One meter or better yet more social distance, masks and face shields are for all of us.  If you cannot leave your house, you can still watch it online or on TV.

Have a blessed Christmas and share this schedule with your friends and loved ones.

Some 2020 Ash Wednesday Schedules For You

Ash Wednesday for 2020 falls on February 26 and marks the beginning of Lent.  These are some of the masses for Ash Wednesday so that you can have ash placed.

There's a derivation of the normal laying of the ashes this time around in ensuring a more sanitized activity due to the Covid-19 virus scare.  According to the CBCP, ashes would be placed on the top of your head and NOT like in this file picture.

Stay safe and wash your hands with soap!

Lent is coming on Ash Wednesday for March 6, 2019.  These are some of the masses for Ash Wednesday so that you can have ash placed on your forehead.

Remember, it's a day of fasting for those 18 years old to 60.  Those 14 to 17 years old or beyond 60  would do abstinence from meat.  Also, you can check with your doctor if you can't do any fasting and generally you can pass yourself up with this discipline but doing an act of charity towards others would be done in exchange.

Some 2018 Ash Wednesday Schedules

Here folks are some mass times for Ash Wednesday for February 14, 2018.

I hope you do go to mass but it is also a day for fasting.  As a rule of thumb, there are only 2 days for fasting in the Church, first is Ash Wednesday at the beginning of Lent and the second is on Good Friday at the end of Lent.  No wonder the day before Ash Wednesday was called Fat Tuesday.  Anyways, fasting means one full meal and 2 half meals but also check with your doctor if you can do this too.

Summary of Weekend Mall Masses or Churches Near Malls

Weekend masses in malls or churches near malls summary

As much as it would be so much better to hear mass within an actual church and a tabernacle, sometimes we're in situations that need multi-tasking like buying presents for the children or perhaps work is at the mall itself or the shift ended just that morning on a Sunday.  Well, here's a list that may help you to keep close the sabbath and our Lord.  For the weekday version, just click the link.

WYD Veterans Stress Confession for Papal Visit

The Papal visit is drawing near, and even if you can or cannot go to the Papal events, how about dropping by a chapel and avail yourself of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, especially those who haven't gone for years.  You can encounter Christ through confession in persona Christi and also go to holy communion too afterwards now that you are in a state of grace as Christ comes to you in His body, blood, soul and divinity.

With permission from CBCP News and Fr. Mickey Cardenas

MANILA, Dec. 17, 2014 — In a gathering held to prepare young people for the papal visit to the Philippines in January 2015, delegates to past World Youth Day (WYD) highlighted Pope Francis’ view that “the Church should be more like a ‘field hospital after battle’ with bishops serving as true pastors and priests spending more time in confessionals, consoling wounded souls”.
